Islam is an interesting religion because, like christianity, there is only one GOD and from what I hear the first 5 books of the Bible are also in the Koran. Muslims trace their religion through Ishmael, the son Abraham had with an egyptian maid, Hagar (Genesis Chapter 16 in the Bible). Christianity comes through Isaac... *

I dont know what the Koran says about Isaac, but the Bible records that GOD promised an everlasting covenant to Isaac (Gen.17:19-21). He was like the chosen one of the two sons of Abraham. My first question is, wasn't Ishmael Just a mistake Abraham made, since he wasn't really in GOD's plans of important things? *
